Independent in our structure as well as our service

Who are Truly Independent?

We are an independent financial advice firm, on track to have 100 advisers throughout the UK. We are strong believers that everyone should have access to financial advice that is not governed or influenced by others. We have an extensive level of knowledge, experience and expertise, and have the freedom to research the whole market to get the best deal for our clients.

We run everything in-house from our compliance to our marketing and while we outsource our technology, all other company operations are run internally. This allows our advisers to focus on their clients, while we focus on the nonclient business activities which this highly regulated industry demands.

This way we are able to help our advisers promote their business while ensuring their business is effectively protected. It’s a win-win business model.

We are committed to maintaining the ethos of providing Truly Independent financial advice without being adversely governed or influenced by others. Only then can clients be certain of the surety of impartiality.

We support ‘lifestyle choice’ independent financial adviser (IFA) businesses that are set up primarily by a registered individual with the aim of sustaining a certain level of income or to provide a basis from which to enjoy a certain happy lifestyle.

What other benefits are there apart from being Independent?

  • Earn more money
We empower our advisers to make more money, have more time, and to do so with less stress. We have a unique charging structure for our advisers that is fair for all and includes a distinct and recurring income ‘extra bonus’ feature. The more you earn, the less percentage you pay. Advisers are all self-employed and are paid between 70% – 90% of their gross income dependent on their production level. Plus, in addition to the Production Bonus, a further 5% can be achieved for recurring income providing they meet the firm’s client support agreement standards.
  • Encounter less stress
By joining Truly Independent, you get your regulatory infrastructure taken care of. This gives you a compliant platform to operate without having to organise regulation yourself. Our compliance team is always on hand to support you. One of the main benefits of choosing Truly Independent is the continued support we offer our advisers even after your initial induction. Our in-house action team will always be happy to assist you and provide guidance. This allows our advisers to get back to doing what they do best…advising their clients.
  • Have more free time
The freedom that being self-employed brings is something that can truly be appreciated after being restricted working for a major firm. Traditional workplaces can be restrictive with set hours and holiday allowance, but this is your business, and you’re in charge. Work the hours you choose and take the holidays you desire. The flexibility of self-employment allows you to set your own timetable.
  • 85% Retention rate
We are now offering a fixed minimum retention rate of 85% to new advisers that join us in their first year. No fees, no levies, no minimum charge. We empower our advisers to earn more and be happier doing so. After your first year, you will then move to our standard retention rate mentioned previously, where you will be capable of retaining up to 95%.
