10 reasons to become an IFA with Truly Independent

Being independent lifts all restrictions placed on you as a financial adviser, and allows you to achieve what you set out to do in the first place when you became an adviser (provide the best possible advice). Financial advisers working for a firm are restricted to using the products and software that the firm provides, even if this is not the best solution to a client’s needs. This can often feel very restrictive and unrewarding. At Truly Independent you can build your business with your own vision in mind, and we will provide all the help and support you require from our in-house action team.

10 reasons to become an IFA with Truly Independent

Greater work satisfaction
As an IFA, you can provide your clients unbiased advice with no restrictions. This means that you know you have given them the best possible advice for their situation. Not only is this rewarding for the adviser on a job satisfaction level, but it is rewarding financially too, as it is proven that a person who is happy in their work will earn 12% more.

Unlimited earning potential
As an IFA at Truly Independent, you are in control of your earning potential. The average adviser at Truly earns more than £100,000 a year; however, this is uncapped, so there is potential to make even more. On top of the tremendous earning potential, lower overheads also leave more room for profit.

Succession strategy
We have implemented a succession strategy into our business model that will help you to be prepared for when you finally decide to end your career as a IFA. 4×4 succession is a unique buy-out retirement contract available to all our advisers, existing and new. It is the final piece of a comprehensive adviser support proposition to ensure your journey with us and into retirement, is truly easy. Advisers who have been with us for at least 4 years can retire from us with up to 4 times their annual renewal income.

Access to Vero
VERO is our fully integrated investment platform that targets growth whilst streamlining the investment process. Built by custodians, True Potential, our Wealth Platform is engineered with the future in mind, delivering innovation, choice, control and value. For more information about Vero click here.

Work schedule flexibility
It is not always the case that IFAs are employed. Truly Independent IFA’s are self-employed, which enables them to work the hours they want to work. Additionally, once an adviser has an established client base, they have the advantage of scheduling meetings around their personal calendars. Thus, over time, they will have the opportunity to work less than a whole 40 hour week if they desire to do so.

Low start-up costs
Starting out as an IFA is a relatively low-cost business venture. Of course, there are the usual start-up fees for licensing as well as other regulatory costs. However, this is small compared to many other types of businesses. This is because you will not need to pay for office space as working from home is a very viable option.

Marketing opportunities
We can help bring the clients to you! We have big ambition to not only become a household brand, but to become the UK’s number one IFA firm. With our in-house marketing team established in the head office we understand the importance of effective marketing. Not only for growing our own brand to recruit more advisers but to generate more leads for them too.

Ongoing support
One of the main benefits of choosing Truly Independent is the continued support we offer our advisers even after your initial induction. Our in-house action team will always be happy to assist you and offer any guidance.

Systems in place
Once you join Truly you will be provided with a range of systems to offer support and guidance to aid you in your work. Our back-office system is a powerful and comprehensive tool that runs everything automatically. It is a single data entry and completely paperless. Any of our IFAs in the UK can use it with a simple login.

Long term future
There are now only 47 Financial advice firms with over 50 advisers in the UK. When you consider that of those 47 many will be restricted it becomes clear that now is the perfect time to join Truly Independent. We are an Independent Financial advice firm built with the future in mind. A future of remaining independent.
